NEUILLY-SUR-SEINE, France, 13 Sept. 2013. The Thales Group Land & Naval Defence segment in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France, is introducing the Sotas Lite voice and data communications vetronics system for space-constrained military vehicles. Thales introduced the system this week at the DSEI conference and trade show in London.

The open architecture of the Sotas product family is designed to turn the proliferation of C4I components, sensors, effectors, and peripherals to advantage by supporting the integration and interworking of the vehicle-borne systems over a high bandwidth, open standards IP network infrastructure.

Sotas Lite provides users with a set of tactical voice and data services. The smallest Sotas Lite system consists of one user station. Larger systems are created by simply connecting additional user stations using Ethernet.

Developed by Thales in The Netherlands, Sotas systems are fielded in more than 30 countries. For more information contact Thales Group online at www.thalesgroup.com.
