BOHEMIA, N.Y., 13 Jan. 2011. Data Device Corp. (DDC) in Bohemia, N.Y., is introducing the BU-65580MX PCI Mezzanine Card (PMC) that combines enhanced-bit-rate MIL-STD-1553 and MIL-STD-1553 avionics databus interfaces for embedded and laboratory avionics databus applications.

The BU-65580MX PMC combines one dual-redundant MIL-STD-1553 channel and one enhanced-bit-rate MIL-STD-1553 channel with a four port hub for systems with limited space.

Features include rugged PMC design for harsh environments; I/O mix reduces space, power, weight, and cost; and field-proven technology based on over 62 million hours of in-flight performance. "The combination of EBR-1553 and MIL-STD-1553 on one PMC card makes the BU-65580MX a solution for weapons interfaces or stores management systems with limited space," says Sean Sleicher, DDC's data bus marketing manager.
