SANTA CLARA, Calif., 24 Aug. 2012.Solid-state drive specialist Greenliant Systems Ltd. in Santa Clara, Calif., is introducing the industrial-temperature SATA and PATA interface NANDrive solid state drives for embedded computing systems using 2-bits-per-cell (MLC) NAND flash memory.

NANDrive combines Greenliant's NAND controller with NAND flash die for a solid-state drive in a multi-chip package. SATA and PATA NANDrive rugged solid-state drives have the same pin-out across all capacities in each family for backward compatibility.

The BGA package mounts to a system motherboard, with 1-millimeter ball pitch for reliability and resistance to mechanical shock, vibration, and temperature cycling. The NANDrive devices operate at temperatures from -40 to 85 degrees Celsius. Story continues below

The addition of MLC NAND-based industrial temperature NANDrive devices builds on Greenliant's high-endurance industrial grade product offerings. Greenliant is sampling industrial temperature GLS85LS SATA and GLS85LP PATA NANDrive devices in 8-, 16-, 32-, and 64-gigabytes. For more information contact Greenliant online at www.greenliant.com.
