WATERLOO, Ontario – Pixus Technologies in Waterloo, Ontario, is introducing the 4U OpenVPX segmented embedded computing chassis for aerospace and defense applications.

WATERLOO, Ontario – Pixus Technologies in Waterloo, Ontario, is introducing the 4U OpenVPX segmented embedded computing chassis for aerospace and defense applications.

The chassis features several segments for the backplane slots and power supplies, and enables systems designers to have replicated redundancy in one chassis as well as red/black security segmentation.

The 4U OpenVPX segmented chassis has three pluggable power supply unit slots and three power and ground backplanes in the 19-inch rackmount and desktop enclosure. Single- or dual-AC feeds are available.

The chassis has a bottom-to-top airflow configuration, with 1U for the fan and intake area, and space for 3U boards. Pixus offers OpenVPX chassis, CompactPCI Serial, MicroTCA, and AdvancedTCA chassis in several airflow configurations.
