Globecomm Systems and Harris Corp. to upgrade Key West site as part of FAA FTI program

HAUPPAUGE, N.Y., 26 June 2006. Globecomm Systems Inc., a provider of end-to-end satellite-based communications solutions, working in combination with Harris Corporation, has achieved a milestone in its support of the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Telecommunications Infrastructure (FTI) program.

Globecomm Systems Inc., a provider of end-to-end satellite-based communications solutions, working in combination with Harris Corporation, has achieved a milestone in its support of the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Telecommunications Infrastructure (FTI) program.

Harris Corporation has received acceptance for the first satellite communications site as part of the U.S. FAA FTI program. The Key West, Fla.-based satellite site is the first of 42 sites that Harris and Globecomm will upgrade with new satellite communications equipment through its FTI Satellite program.
