High-reliability connectors specialist Omnetics Connector Corp. in Minneapolis is introducing right-angle 5- and 12-position military-grade micro circular connectors. Used in military, medical, and industrial applications, Omnetics micro circular connectors are rugged, and help designers save space on circuit boards with the addition of right-angle, thru-hole mounting capabilities.

Omnetics micro circular electronic connectors previously have been available in 4 barrel sizes 5, 12, 16 and 27 positions, with the tail terminations being: soldercup, pre-wired and straight thru-hole versions. The right-angle connectors "can be mounted directly on a PC board at a right angle, and can be used as a miniature multi-pin I/O port on handheld devices," says Joe Held, international sales manager at Omnetics.
