IRVINE, Calif., 9 Nov. 2010. Critical I/O LLC in Irvine, Calif., is introducing the StoreEngine 3-terabyte rugged data storage blade for OpenVPX, VXS and VME embedded computing systems for applications such as high-bandwidth embedded data recording, file serving, and general-purpose RAID data storage.
StoreEngine is a scalable, single-slot storage server able to serve block data like a disk drive or RAID system simultaneously with serving file data like a NFS/CIFS file server. The system can scale capacity and performance by adding StoreEngine blades.
The VXS and VME versions of the StoreEngine are available now, while the OpenVPX air- and conduction-cooled versions will be available in early 2011, company officials say. For more information contact Critical I/O online at www.criticalio.com.
