FPGA AMC card for transportation and industrial applications introduced by TEWS Technologies

TEWS Technologies in Halstenbek, Germany, is introducing the TAMC631 standard single mid-size or full-size Advanced Mezzanine Card.1 (AMC.1) with user-programmable XC6SLX25T-2 or XC6SLX75T-2 Spartan-6 field-programmable gate array (FPGA) for industrial and transportation applications in which specialized I/O or long-term availability is necessary. The TAMC631 FPGA AMC card provides a customizable interface.

For flexible front I/O solutions, the TAMC631 FPGA AMC card provides a VITA 57 FMC module slot with a low-pin count connector. FMC I/O lines connect to the FPGA. The low-pin-count interface includes one multi-gigabit link. In addition the FPGA is connected to two banks of 128-megabyte, 16 bit wide DDR3 SDRAM.

The FPGA is configured by a platform Flash, which is programmable via a JTAG header, which in turn supports readback and real-time debugging of the FPGA using Xilinx ChipScope.

A programmable clock generator provides as many as three different clock output frequencies between 5 kHz and 200 MHz. The clock generator settings are programmable via JTAG and are stored in an EEPROM. In addition two differential reference clocks are available from the FMC slot to the FPGA.
