GE Fanuc Intelligent Platforms selects Tundra Semiconductor RapidIO Switch

OTTAWA, Ontario, 3 Dec. 2007. GE Fanuc Intelligent Platforms has selected Tundra Semiconductor Corp.'s Tundra Tsi578, a high-performance serial RapidIO switch, for its DSP220, DSP230, and CRX800 system blades designed for defense and aerospace applications.

The Tundra Tsi578 features multi-port configurability, providing the level of connectivity required to support a range of system architectures, including VPX (also known as VITA 46) and VXS (also known as VITA 41, VMEbus Switched Serial).

The DSP220 VXS Multiprocessor has been selected by several prestigious military programs.
