FREMONT, Calif. – Elma Electronic Inc. in Fremont, Calif., is introducing the iD-Case 18 electronics enclosure that uses a combination of magnetic connectors and hidden screws that provides simple access to internal electronics through a removable top panel.

An expansion to the Elma iD-Box enclosure line, the iD-Case 18 helps reduce system integration complexity as well as hassles with upgrades and maintenance.

The design of the iD-Case 18 has a surrounding aluminum frame front panel as well as carrying handle on the back. The front panel can be positioned vertically or set at a 20-degree angle to the supporting surface, so the user can view the enclosure in either a seated or standing position. Foldable feet provide additional positioning flexibility.

Available in four standard configurations, the iD-Case 18 is sized for most common enclosure designs. For an individualized look, the enclosure can be customized to adapt specifically to the user's requirements or corporate design. Modifications that can be integrated by Elma include the controls, touchscreen displays and internal electronics.

"Electronics systems have moved from the back room to the front of the house, or in some cases, into homes," says Walter Podbelski, DIRECTOR OF E&C sales for Elma Electronic. "By incorporating sleek, modern design elements into our enclosure design, users can have the complex functionality they need in a visually-appealing enclosure."
