WIXOM, Mich. – Acromag in Wixom, Mich., is introducing the AP226 and AP236 commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) AcroPack embedded computingmezzanine cards for military and aerospace, scientific development, and automation applications.

These AcroPack mezzanine cards come with built-in isolated voltage output signals to drive as many as eight devices. Designed to deliver high-density, high-reliability, and high-performance, the cards support six independent software-selectable output ranges plus capabilities to monitor the status of each output along with the same functionality and memory map of existing Industry Pack (IP) modules.

AcroPack modules improve on the mini PCI Express form factor by adding a down-facing connector that securely routes I/O signals through the host carrier card without any extra cabling. Carrier cards are available in PCI Express, VPX, XMC, and other formats.

These carriers provide access to the field I/O signals through front-panel CHAMP connectors or the rear backplane. The modules measure 30 by 70 millimeters, and as many as four AcroPacks can plug into one carrier card in any I/O combination.

AcroPack modules support analog I/O, digital I/O, communication, and FPGA computing functions. Acromag offers C libraries for Windows, Linux and VxWorks systems. These libraries provide generic routines (source code included) to handle reads, writes, interrupts, and other functions.

Demonstration programs enable the developer to exercise the I/O modules before attaching the routines to the application program. For more information contact Acromag online at www.acromag.com.
