Acromag introduces SOSA-aligned VPX7600 3U OpenVPX single-board computer
WIXOM, Mich. - Acromag in Wixom, Mich., is introducing the VPX7600, a 3U OpenVPX single-board computer aligned with the Sensor Open Systems Architecture Technical Standard for high-bandwidth defense and aerospace embedded computing applications.
The VPX7600 SBC is built around an Intel 11th Generation Xeon W-11000E Series Tiger Lake-H processor with up to eight cores. The board supports as much as 32 gigabytes of dual-channel DDR4 ECC memory operating at data rates up to 3200 MT/s. Integrated Intel Gen12 UHD Xe graphics with 32 execution units support graphics clock speeds up to 1.35 GHz.
The board also incorporates up to 1 terabyte of onboard NVMe M.2 BGA solid-state storage for high-speed local data handling in applications such as sensor processing, mission computing, and data-intensive embedded systems.
Acromag says the VPX7600 is designed as an I/O-intensive SBC and includes a broad range of connectivity and expansion interfaces for modular open systems architectures. An onboard Intel E810 Ethernet controller supports 100 Gigabit Ethernet on the data plane and 10 Gigabit Ethernet on the control plane for high-throughput embedded networking applications.
Additional backplane interfaces include a 2.5-gigabit Ethernet port with support for Time Sensitive Networking (TSN), DisplayPort 1.4 with support for 4K resolution and HBR3 data rates, USB 3.2 and USB 2.0 interfaces, SATA III storage connectivity, RS-422 and RS-232 serial interfaces, and general-purpose I/O lines.
The VPX7600 also includes an XMC mezzanine expansion site for additional processing and I/O customization. The board supports HOST 3.0, VITA 46.11 Tier 3, and IPMI 1.5 system management standards through its integrated Intelligent Platform Management Controller (IPMC).
Acromag says the VPX7600 is intended for defense, aerospace, scientific, and industrial embedded computing applications requiring high-speed networking, modularity, and long-term platform support. The board is available in both air-cooled and conduction-cooled variants with front I/O options.
