LGS Innovations (LGS), an independent subsidiary of Alcatel-Lucent dedicated to serving the U.S. federal government, has delivered its video technology under The Centech Group Inc.’s Network Centric Solutions (NETCENTS) contract with the U.S. Air Force. LGS has provided Internet Protocol television (IPTV) video systems to the U.S. Air Force Air Combat Command (ACC).
LGS engineered, furnished, installed, and tested an IPTV solution serving a dozen Air Force installations across the U.S. The solution was designed to meet the ACC’s need for responsive, rich video content delivered to every ACC computer workstation and various common areas.
The IPTV system supports pre-selected broadcast channels, three military channels, and on-demand and streaming video. It also has the ability to broadcast emergency video messages.
Video technology solutions from LGS Innovations help the U.S. military and other federal agencies reach telework, continuity of operations (COOP), and cost-efficiency targets.
Speaking on these video technology projects, LGS CEO Ronald W. Iverson comments: “Video solutions are the best method for everyone to communicate in the most effective manner possible. LGS is showing that we have the expertise, the experience, and the product support to handle all of the challenges that our customers will face in adding video technologies to their networks.”
