Cobham to enhance its UHF SATCOM technologies offerings with acquisition of Trivec-Avant Corp.
WIMBORNE, England, 16 Sept. 2011. Executives of defense giant Cobham plc in Wimborne, England, are boosting their company's expertise in satellite communications (SATCOM) and SATCOM antennas with their agreement to acquire Trivec-Avant Corp. in Huntington Beach, Calif., a supplier of UHF SATCOM antennas. Trivec's SATCOM technology complements that of the Cobham Antenna Systems segment based in Marlow, England, company officials say. Cobham will acquire privately owned Trivec for $126 million cash, and the deal is expected to close this fall.
