Cobham expands its surveillance expertise with acquisition of Corp Ten International

WIMBORNE MINSTER, England, 8 Feb. 2011. Aerospace and defense systems integrator Cobham plc in Wimborne Minster, England, is expanding the company's expertise in surveillance technology with its acquisition of Corp Ten International Inc. in Baltimore. Cobham has acquired the share capital of Corp Ten for $11.5 million on a debt and cash free basis, Cobham officials announced Monday. Corp Ten specializes in GPS tracking and related technologies, and builds tracking and information systems.
WIMBORNE MINSTER, England, 8 Feb. 2011. Aerospace and defense systems integrator Cobham plc in Wimborne Minster, England, is expanding the company's expertise in surveillance technology with its acquisition of Corp Ten International Inc. in Baltimore.Cobham has acquired the share capital of Corp Ten for $11.5 million on a debt and cash free basis, Cobham officials announced Monday. Corp Ten specializes in GPS tracking and related technologies, and builds tracking and information systems. An additional cash consideration is payable of as much as $12.5 million between 2012 and 2014, contingent on future performance.Corp Ten develops software to manage tracking and surveillance devices within one system for real-time sharing of data through satellite, cell phone, and radio frequency providers.Corp Ten's products are complementary to Cobham's existing range of audio and video surveillance products, and can help Cobham increase revenue by expanding equipment offerings and the company's customer base, Cobham officials say.

"The acquisition of Corp Ten will supplement our differentiated capabilities in the important and growing market for surveillance equipment," explains Andy Stevens, Cobham's chief executive officer. Corp Ten employs 14 people.
