Lockheed Martin chooses Performance Technologies for storage blade on Royal Navy submarine sonar

MANASSAS, Va., 8 Jan 2008. Engineers at the Lockheed Martin Undersea Systems segment in Manassas, Va., needed storage blades for a sonar upgrade on United Kingdom Royal Navy submarines. They found their solution from Performance Technologies in Rochester, N.Y.

MANASSAS, Va., 8 Jan 2008. Engineers at the Lockheed Martin Undersea Systems segment in Manassas, Va., needed storage blades for a sonar upgrade on United Kingdom Royal Navy submarines. They found their solution from Performance Technologies in Rochester, N.Y.

Lockheed Martin will use the Performance Technologies CPC5910 CompactPCI SATA storage blade, which supports 800 gigabytes of RAID capacity.

Each blade features two 3.5-inch enterprise class SATA hard drives that support board-level hot-swap and drive-level hot-swap.
