WATFORD, England, 16 Feb. 2008. The Brazilian Naval Commission has taken delivery of 16 Meridian Heading Repeaters and four Meridian Digital Repeaters from Teledyne-TSS in Watford, England, in an order worth 65,000 Pounds Sterling. The units will be installed across the Brazilian naval fleet.

The Teledyne-TSS ranges of Meridian Repeaters are designed to compliment the Meridian range of gyrocompasses. The Meridian Digital Repeater indicates magnetic or true heading to 1/10th of a degree and rate of turn via a red LED bar graph. It is self-aligning, has back lighting and alarm messages, and conforms to DIN 43700.

The Meridian Heading Repeater with its large vacuum fluorescent display offers clear visibility anywhere on the bridge. It can display a combination of magnetic or true heading in six display formats selected via an easy to use push button menu. It too has automatic self-alignment, and back lighting.
