Moog Inc. gains American Pacific aerospace propulsion business

LAS VEGAS, 2 Aug. 2012. American Pacific Corp. (AMPAC; NASDAQ:APFC) has completed the divestiture of its Aerospace Equipment/In-Space Propulsion business to Moog Inc. (NYSE:MOG.A, NYSE:MOG.B).

LAS VEGAS, 2 Aug. 2012.American Pacific Corp. (AMPAC; NASDAQ:APFC) has completed the divestiture of its Aerospace Equipment/In-Space Propulsion business to Moog Inc. (NYSE:MOG.A, NYSE:MOG.B).

The In-Space Propulsion business--with locations in N.Y., Calif., Ireland, and the United Kingdom--is a developer and manufacturer of liquid propulsion systems and components for satellites and missile defense systems.

The purchase price is approximately $46 million in cash. The divestiture is effective as of 1 Aug. 2012.
