MERIDIAN, Idaho, 11 Jan. 2009. Computrol Inc. in Meridian, Idaho is enhancing its capabilities in electronics contract manufacturing with its acquisition of Wolf Electronix Inc. in Orem, Utah.

Both companies specialize in contract manufacturing. Wolf is involved in high-mix, low-to-medium-volume electronic assembly production runs with much surface-mount technology. Wolf's typical production run is between 500 to 10,000 units.

Computrol, meanwhile, specializes in high-quality, low-volume electronic manufacturing capabilities, serving military, aerospace, medical, broadcast, and general industry customers.

"With Computrol's technological capability and financial stability, we have found the right partner to assist us in expanding our electronic contract manufacturing capabilities," says Jim Trent, Jr., president of Wolf Electronix.

"Current operational matters for the Wolf facility will remain at the Orem, Utah location," explains Computrol President Charlie Scott.
