DataPath to become Rockwell Collins subsidiary

DULUTH, Ga., 9 May 2009. DataPath Inc., a provider of satellite and wireless communications networks around the world, announced the approval of the merger agreement pursuant to which DataPath will become a wholly‑owned subsidiary of Rockwell Collins Inc.

The merger remains subject to customary closing conditions, and the parties currently expect that the merger will be completed in the second quarter of 2009.

DataPath provides satellite-based network solutions that solve customers' communications challenges. The company specialize in enabling complex, video-intensive communications networks that are critical to the operations of military, civilian government, and commercial organizations.

DataPath is headquartered in Duluth, Ga., and operates via more than two dozen offices and distributor locations around the world.
