Systems designers at L-3 Communication Systems-West in Salt Lake City needed complex electronic assemblies for the company's high-performance military data link systems, which transmit intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance information between military aircraft, ships, satellites and ground stations throughout the world. They found their solution from LaBarge Inc. in St. Louis.
LaBarge (NYSE Amex: LB) won a $5.6 million from L-3 Communication Systems-West to provide complex electronic assemblies through December 2011.
LaBarge provides electronic and electromechanical products through contract design and manufacturing. L-3 Communication Systems-West provides communications systems for high-performance intelligence collection, imagery processing, and satellite communications for the U.S. Department of Defense and other government agencies.
