BAE Systems chooses Talla-Tech PDA computer for Joint Tactical Radio System implementation

TALLAHASSEE, Fla., 12 Oct. 2007. Systems integrators at BAE Systems are choosing the RPDA-57 rugged PDA computer from Talla Tech Inc. in Tallahassee, Fla. for use in the Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) Ground Mobile Radio (GMR).

TALLAHASSEE, Fla., 12 Oct. 2007. Systems integrators at BAE Systems are choosing the RPDA-57 rugged PDA computer from Talla Tech Inc. in Tallahassee, Fla. for use in the Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) Ground Mobile Radio (GMR).

Experts from the BAE Systems Communication, Navigation, Identification, and Reconnaissance (CNIR) business unit in Wayne, N.J., will use Talla-Tech's RPDA-57 rugged PDA as the Personal Control Display Device (PCDD) -- or the primary interface of the GMR system.

JTRS is a programmable system of radios, in an open architecture promoting interoperability, that are designed to provide wireless transfer of information to air, ground and sea military forces. JTRS GMR is the first in a series of JTRS radio procurements for the joint the services.
