This cable has been specially designed by PIC for airborne 10and 100 Base-T Local Area Network applications as definedby ARINC Specification 664. The twisted-pair construction(two separate pairs) effectively reduces inductive interferencewhile 100% foil and 90% braided shielding serve tofurther protect against EMI.Each conductor is surrounded by a foamed fluoropolymerdielectric having a high velocity of propagation which permitssmaller overall diameter and weight while retaining performanceand required operating parameters. Silver-platedcopper conductors and shielding assure uniform conductivitywith excellent solderability. An ETFE laser wire markablejacket protects the cable against abrasion and environmentaleffects while maintaining flexibility for ease of installation.E40424 exceeds ANSI/TIA-568-C.2 CAT 5e Channel Requirements.It is Skydrol resistant, RoHS compliant andpasses the FAA flammability requirements of FAR Part 23and 25, Appendix F.
