ALEXANDRIA, Va. — The Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) is launching a symposium on vector-based moving-map displays for next-generation military systems. The conference will be Aug. 3 and 4 at the Holiday Inn in Alexandria, Va.

Issues to be considered are software and database design, graphical user interface design, vector data compression, human factors and situational awareness, and helmet-mounted displays and electronic nautical charts, says Stephanie Myrick, a conference coordinator at NRL`s office at the Stennis Space Center, Miss.
