Engineers at State of the Art Inc. (SOTA) in State College, Pa., qualified their 1010 high-reliability thin-film chip resistors to MIL-PRF-55342/10 (revision G). This military standard, administered by the U.S. Defense Supply Center Columbus in Columbus, Ohio, is the space-level reliability performance specification for fixed film chip resistors. SOTA`s chip resistors are for mission-critical applications such as manned space flight, life-support systems, and human-implantable medical devices. They measure 0.105 by 0.1 by 0.02 inches, and are available with pretinned, wraparound-nickel-barrier or gold-wire-bondable terminations. For more information contact SOTA by phone at 814-355-8004, by fax at 814-355-2714, by post at 2470 Fox Hill Road, State College, Pa. 16803, by e-mail at [email protected], or on the World Wide Web at http://www.resistor.com/. — J.K.
