The device, called the HTVREF-05 operates in temperatures between -55 and 225 degrees Celsius, and will operate in even hotter temperatures for more than one year with derated performance. Applications include avionics, turbine engine control, electric power conversion, heavy-duty internal combustion engines, industrial process control, nuclear reactors, and down-hole oil wells. Honeywell experts base their HTMOS technology on their silicon on insulator technology, which has a proven track record in radiation-hardened military and commercial space applications.
