DSCC sets up six new Internet sites

Officials of the Defense Supply Center Columbus in Columbus, Ohio, are setting up six new Internet sites in their Operations Support Group to speed information such as digitized drawings to military and aerospace electronic systems designers. DSCC administers military electronics standards such as the MIL-PRF-38535 Qualified Manufacturing List, better known as QML. The document-control site at http://www.dscc. dla.mil/V/VA is a virtual library of documents. The value-engineering site at http://www.dscc.dla.mil/V/VE promotes developing alternate sources for hard-to-find items. The product-verification site at http://www.dscc.dla.mil/V/VP has test information on DSCC-managed items. The sourcing and qualification site at http://www.dscc.dla.mil/V/VQ has information on qualified suppliers and critical parts. The standardization site at http://www.dscc.dla.mil/V/VS has parts management information. The technical management site at http://www.dscc. dla.mil/V/VT provides solicitation numbers, national stock numbers, issue and close dates of awards, and locations of drawings. - J.K.
