BMDO helped fund rad-hard development

Having just written about Honeywell`s RH-32 for the Ballistic Missile Defense Organization`s technology program, I was very impressed with John Rhea`s article in the May 1997 issue of Military & Aerospace Electronics entitled "The challenges of space on the new COTS frontier." The information was very high quality with good explanation of significant points. It clarified some finer points of the larger context for me. (We don`t have the resources to do the extensive research illustrated in your article.)

What is less obvious is that BMDO funded the Honeywell work at Phillips, too.
