Space Electronics offers rad-hard FIFO

April 1, 1997
Officials of Space Electronics Inc. of San Diego are introducing a high-density space radiation-hardened first in/first out (FIFO) dual-port memory. The 7206ERP is a 16K-by-9 low-power asynchronous FIFO with industry standard pinout and architecture. Designed with monolithic 0.6-micron CMOS on epitaxial substrate, the device can withstand 200,000 rads total dose radiation. It is designed for satellites, manned spacecraft, and space probe missions operating in low-Earth or geosynchronous orbits.
