Martek Power's new DC-DC converter designed to save board space

LOS ANGELES, 22 Aug. 2005. Martek Power in Los Angeles is offering a product family of high-density, isolated DC-DC converters called the 1000XFR series.

LOS ANGELES, 22 Aug. 2005. Martek Power in Los Angeles is offering a product family of high-density, isolated DC-DC converters called the 1000XFR series.

The devices measure 1.25 by 0.8 by 0.4 inches and feature a rated power of 10 watts, precisely regulated single outputs of 2.5, 3.3, 5V, and 12 volts and efficiency as high as 87 percent.

The 1000XFR series also provide short circuit protection, mean time between failures of 1 million hours and comply with EN55022 Class A requirements.

The devices operate in temperatures from -40 to 60 degrees Celsius, have power densities of 25 watts per cubic inch, and have 1,500 volts DC isolation.

The DC-DC converters for data communication equipment, mobile battery driven equipment, distributed power systems, telecommunication equipment, mixed analog/digital subsystems, process/machine control equipment, computer peripheral systems and industrial robot systems.
