DARPA schedules industry briefing for machine-learning research project

ARLINGTON, Va., 19 July 2005. The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is sponsoring an industry briefing on the Integrated Learning project from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 3 at the Schafer Corp. in Arlington, Va.

ARLINGTON, Va., 19 July 2005. The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is sponsoring an industry briefing on the Integrated Learning project from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 3 at the Schafer Corp. in Arlington, Va.

The Integrated Learning project seeks to develop computer software able to learn and reason in complex military planning jobs by being shown how to perform a task only once.

DARPA's point of contract for the Integrated Learning program, Dr. Tom Wagner, will brief industry representatives and field questions. Some companies already registered for the briefing are Schafer Corp., BBN Technologies, Raytheon Co., Global InfoTek Inc., and Rite-Solutions Inc.
