Hawker Beechcraft AT-6 Cockpit 4000 avionics get modifications from Esterline CMC Electronics

PARIS 21 June 2011. Avionics for the Hawker Beechcraft Corp. (HBC) Cockpit 4000 in the AT-6 Light Attack and Armed Reconnaissance (LAAR) aircraft are getting a facelift from Esterline CMC Electronics (CMC) in Montreal. The new suite includes Cockpit 4000 includes a head-up display (HUD), integrated avionics computer, multifunction displays, and an up front control panel (UFCP).

The new suite includes Cockpit 4000 includes a head-up display (HUD), integrated avionics computer, multifunction displays, and an up front control panel (UFCP).Other additions include enhancements to the AT-6 Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS) Global Positioning System (GPS) Localizer Performance with Vertical (LPV) Guidance approach capability. CMC's IntegriFlight GPS Landing System also is certified for GPS LPV Guidance approach operations. The CMC UFCP also has the necessary combat communication, sensor, and weapons capabilities required for the LAAR mission. The AT-6 is designed and built to provide close air support and light attack capabilities. Other key systems on the aircraft include the Lockheed Martin A-10C-based mission system and L-3 Wescam's MX-15Di EO/IR sensor pod. The aircraft also has an ALQ-213 EW Management System, ARC-210 radios with secure voice/data and satellite communications capabilities.
