FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., 2 Jan. 2008. DataCore Software in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., is offering an iSCSI-enabled VM Starter SAN package -- a version of DataCore's SANmelody.

The VM Starter SAN bundle includes auto-allocating thin provisioning storage support, SANmotion data migration technology, caching software, snapshots for disk backups, auto failover/failback data protection via synchronous network mirroring, as well as remote site disaster recovery support through asynchronous IP mirror replication.

The package runs on any physical or virtual hardware: hardware servers, blade servers or VMs, and supports major VM vendors, company officials say.

The virtual storage from the DataCore SAN can be consolidated and served to MacOS, Netware, Linux, and the flavors of UNIX and Microsoft. For more information contact DataCore online at www.datacore.com.
