CMC Electronics offers GPS-based aircraft landing system; receives federal certification

SAINT-LAURENT, Quebec, 17 Dec. 2008. CMC Electronics in Saint-Laurent, Quebec, are offering the IntegriFlight CMA-5024 aviation global positioning system (GPS) receiver, which has received federal certification in the United States and Canada for GPS-based aircraft instrument landings.

The GPS-based landing system has received approval from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in Washington and from Transport Canada in Ottawa to TSO-C145b Beta-3 -- the most stringent category for Wide Area Augmentation System (AAAS) navigation receivers.
