FAIRFAX, Va., 11 Dec. 2009. Electronic Consulting Services Inc. (ECS), a provider of information technology and engineering services to the U.S. Federal Government, won a three-year $9.6 million task order under its Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Enterprise Acquisition Gateway for Leading Edge Solutions (EAGLE) Prime Contract for the DHS National Operations Center (NOC) Common Operational Picture (COP) information technology (IT) enhancements.
This contract marks ECS's eighth DHS EAGLE contract award.
ECS, along with its subcontractors, The Boeing Company and ArdentMC, will provide all IT enhancements and additional analytical capability to the current DHS NOC, reveals a company representative. The team will infuse the DHS NOC with evolving technologies for incident information management, decision support, distribution, and display.
Roy Kapani, ECS's president and CEO says: "ECS recognizes the importance of the development and deployment of the Common Operating Picture for the DHS National Operation Center. It is an essential enhancement to the DHS mission and to the security of the American public."
