Republic of Iraq orders handheld explosives detectors from Implant Sciences

WAKEFIELD, Mass., 7 March 2007. Implant Sciences Corporation, a developer and manufacturer of products for national security, semiconductor, and medical industries, has announced that it received an order for eight units of the company's Quantum Sniffer handheld explosives detectors from Iraq's Ministry of the Interior.

The customer anticipates using the units in various locations within Iraq; however, for reasons of confidentiality and security, no further details as to the use and locations of the devices is permitted.
