COLUMBIA, S.C., 18 Nov. 2007. Interactive Data Visualization Inc. (IDV) in Columbia, S.C., is releasing the Eye-Sys software for data-driven, real-time visualization.

The software, developed and partially funded through engagements with the U.S. Department of Defense, research organizations, and defense contractors, offers versatility and an intuitive user interface for complex and dynamic data.

Everything from text files and 3D models to databases and streaming data can be brought into Eye-Sys, manipulated, and then viewed together interactively in real-time.

"Professionals from industries as diverse as modeling and simulation, defense, engineering, GIS and research and development will find a well-documented toolset that interacts with many legacy applications," says Chris King, chief executive officer of IDV. "Users can create their own visual programs in the Eye-Sys sandbox, write custom scripts to manipulate incoming data, or extend Eye-Sys using our optional C++/.NET SDK."
