Amtech Systems gains $4.4 million new solar orders

TEMPE, Ariz., 12 July 2007. Amtech Systems Inc., a global supplier of production and automation systems and related supplies for the manufacture of semiconductors, solar cells, and wafers, has received $4.4 million in additional new solar orders for diffusion processing systems from the solar cell industry.

This new order is in addition to a $4.1 million order announced on June 12, 2007. The recent new orders of $4.4 million consist of one new European-based customer, one new Asian-based customer, and a follow-on order from an existing customer.

For its fiscal 2007 year-to-date, Amtech has received approximately $14.1 million of solar orders, including these most recent orders. Amtech expects the $4.4 million in new orders to ship in fiscal 2008.
