Training and simulation solutions increasingly sought by U.S. military according to Frost & Sullivan analyst

Asymmetric warfare in Iraq and Afghanistan has increased the need for military training and simulation. It has also encouraged the development of new and novel training and simulation solutions, which has saved numerous American lives.

Since 2005, the U.S. Army and Marine Corps have invested substantially in new live training solutions to counter challenges faced in Iraq and Afghanistan, including convoy simulators, new Military Operations on Urban Terrain (MOUT) facilities, and counter-IED trainers.

As described in the report, the financial burden of the Global War on Terror (GWOT) has taken resources away from further training and simulation. Therefore, the industry is being forced to deliver better solutions for less.
