General Dynamics awarded $12 million contract to support the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

FAIRFAX, Va., 8 May 2007. General Dynamics Information Technology, a business unit of General Dynamics, has been awarded a contract by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to support its National Coastal Data Development Center (NCDDC). The total potential value of this contract if all options are exercised is $11.7 million over five years.

FAIRFAX, Va., 8 May 2007.General Dynamics Information Technology, a business unit of General Dynamics, has been awarded a contract by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to support its National Coastal Data Development Center (NCDDC). The total potential value of this contract if all options are exercised is $11.7 million over five years.

Under this new contract, General Dynamics will provide geospatial technology services relating to ecosystem information for the NCDDC on-site at the John C. Stennis Space Center in Mississippi.

General Dynamics will support five functional areas, including ecosystem project management, geospatial data and information management, metadata management, constituent services, and program management support and strategic planning.

The contract was awarded under the General Services Administration Environmental Services contract.
