ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich., 12 Feb. 2007. Fanuc Robotics America Inc., has introduced its new LR Mate 200iC robot, the company's next-generation light, efficient, accurate, and nimble (LEAN) mini-robot. The LR Mate 200iC robot with iRVision (built-in vision), will demonstrate its capabilities at the Automation Technology Expo (ATX), at the Anaheim Convention Center, in Anaheim, Calif.

The six-axis, LR Mate 200iC robot is lighter and more compact than its predecessor, but offers wrist load capacity, repeatability, work envelope, and speed.

"The LR Mate 200iC is much faster than the previous model while providing improved positional accuracies. These and other enhancements make this the most powerful mini-robot in its class," says Nishant Jhaveri, product manager, Fanuc Robotics America Inc.

The LR Mate 200iC robot offers:
-- High wrist load capacity
-- Higher rigidity for smooth motion
-- Slim arm to allow operation in narrow spaces
-- Enhanced motion performance for 'best in class' speed
-- Best in class work envelope
-- Supports a variety of intelligent functions including an internal programmable controller (PMC), Ethernet, iRVision (built-in), and force sensing

Optional IP67 rating for the entire robot allows it to withstand harsh environments.
