Gary Goncher is an Ohio native who obtained Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Northwestern University and a Ph.D. from U.C. Berkeley in the sciences. He is currently a system architect in the Data Converter Module business at Tektronix Component Solutions in Beaverton, OR. Gary has held positions in device research, component design, and system design for Tektronix. His current role involves adapting ASIC technology developed for Tektronix measurement instruments into other embedded applications. High speed data converter board designs for these applications may include custom RF front ends and FPGA signal processing back ends. He is an avid photographer who enjoys exploring Oregon’s backcountry.
