AMADA WELD TECH adds flexible integration options to SIGMA LS femtosecond laser micromachining subsystem
MONROVIA, Calif. - AMADA WELD TECH in Monrovia, Calif., has expanded its SIGMA LS Laser Micromachining Subsystem with new integration options, including a motorized beam delivery head and configurable vertical and horizontal mounting formats designed to simplify production-line integration.
The SIGMA LS subsystem integrates a femtosecond laser, beam delivery optics, scan or cutting head, focus lens, camera, and controller/software into a single package intended to reduce engineering time for OEMs and system integrators. The platform is available with 5- to 80-watt femtosecond laser sources and infrared, green, or ultraviolet wavelength options for a range of material-processing applications.
An optional motorized focusing system enables software-controlled adjustment of the focal point without manual intervention, allowing users to accommodate varying material thicknesses, multi-level geometries, and recipe-based process changes while reducing setup time.
The subsystem is now available in vertical and horizontal configurations to accommodate different machine layouts and production flows. The formats enable installation above or beside processing stations and integration into automated production lines, new equipment, or retrofit applications.
The SIGMA LS supports precision milling, selective ablation, drilling, surface texturing, and scribing applications that require high dimensional accuracy, process stability, and minimal thermal effects.
