SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – H2W Technologies Inc. in Santa Clarita, Calif., is introducing the VMS06-008-LB-01 high-acceleration, voice coil-driven positioning stage for positioning applications.

The stage has a sliding contact bearing system to enable long lifetimes, long cycles, and desirable system mean times between failures (MTBF).

The voice coil stage uses a custom low-profile design that uses a electromagnetic circuit design for a minimal cross section of 1.2 inches by 1.0 inches.

The stage has a 0.6-inch stroke; generates 1.12 pounds of continuous force, and 3.36 pounds of peak force. Guiding each axis are sliding contact bushing assemblies.

The device includes a one-micron-resolution magnetic linear encoder, and uses a moving magnet, which has no moving wires, and has anti-rotation elements built-in to prevent shafts from slipping.

Voice coil positioning stages are for motion control applications that require quick, short moves with fast settling times. For more information contact H2W Technologies online at www.h2wtech.com.
