MANSFIELD, Mass. – Murata Power Solutions in Mansfield, Mass., is introducing the UWS-Q12 series 50-Watt, 9-to-36-volt in DC-DC converters in an industry-standard 1/16th brick pinout for railway, transportation, power grid, and telecommunications applications.

The DC-DC converter is for 12- and 24-Watt battery systems and similar high-current applications.

The power electronics device provides a basic I/O insulation system rated at 2,250 volts DC isolation with a regulated DC output. The series also offers single modules with outputs of 3.3, 5, 12, 15, and 24 volts DC all rated at 50 Watts.

With a universal Vin range, there are many applications to deliver the requirements for intermediate bus converter (IBC) architecture. The device's open-frame package measures 1.3 by 0.9 by 0.36 inches.

The rugged power condition and control component operates in temperatures from -40 to 85 degrees Celsius with derating, and has an optional negative logic on/off control configuration.
