6U VPX power supply for 6U OpenVPX conduction-cooled embedded computing chassis introduced by Vicor

The 6U supply meets MIL-461F, MIL-704F, and MIL-1275E standards, with two models available for 3U embedded computing chassis designs.

ANDOVER, Mass. – Power electronics specialist Vicor Corp. in Andover, Mass., is introducing the model VIT028 6U VITA 62-compliant power supply for 6U OpenVPX conduction-cooled embedded computing chassis systems.

The product operates from a nominal 28-volt input with predefined output voltages ranging from 3.3 to 12 volts and delivering as much as 1000 Watts of power.

The 6U supply meets MIL-461F, MIL-704F, and MIL-1275E standards. Systems designers who need different output voltages or power levels can request a customized power supply to meet their own specifications.

The model VIT028 6U takes an 18-to-42-volt input, and offers output voltages of 12-, 5-, 3.3-, and -12-volt outputs, with a maximum combined output of 1,000 Watts. The 6U VPX power supply measures 6.6 by 9.2 by 0.9 inches.

Vicor also offers the model VIT270 3U, and model VIT028 3U VITA 62-compliant power supplies for 3U VPX applications.

The model VIT270 3U takes an 220-to-320-volt input, and offers output voltages of 12-, 5-, 3.3-, and -12-volt outputs, with a maximum combined output of 600 Watts. It measures 6.6 by 3.9 by 0.9 inches.

The model VIT028 3U takes an 18-to-42-volt input, and offers output voltages of 12-, 5-, 3.3-, and -12-volt outputs, with a maximum combined output of 1,000 Watts. It measures 6.6 by 9.2 by 0.9 inches.
