Honeywell develops high-temp SRAM
Engineers at the Honeywell Inc. Solid State Electronic Center in Plymouth, Minn., are offering the HT6256 32K-by-8 static random access memory for extremely wide operating ranges in applications such as avionics, turbine engine control, electric power conversion, and down-hole oil drilling. The device, which requires a 5-volt power supply, will operate between -55 and 300 degrees Celsius, and will last tens of thousands of hours at 225 C, Honeywell officials say.
