Engineers at the Honeywell Inc. Solid State Electronic Center in Plymouth, Minn., are offering the HT6256 32K-by-8 static random access memory for extremely wide operating ranges in applications such as avionics, turbine engine control, electric power conversion, and down-hole oil drilling. The device, which requires a 5-volt power supply, will operate between -55 and 300 degrees Celsius, and will last tens of thousands of hours at 225 C, Honeywell officials say. Its operation is asynchronous with an associated typical access time of 50 nanoseconds at 5 volts. For more information, phone Honeywell at 800-323-8295. - J.K.
