SAN DIEGO, 24 Sept. 2015. TDK-Lambda Americas Inc. in San Diego is introducing the PXC-M series of DC-DC converters for battery-powered equipment and medical applications.
Operating over a 4:1 input range, the 3-, 6-, and 10-Watt power electronics products are enclosed in the industry standard 1.25-by-0.8-by-0.4-inch DIP-24 package.
With a 5,000-volt AC input to output isolation (2 x MOPPs), the units are certified to IEC/EN 60601-1 and ANSI/AAMI ES60601-1 with CE marking for the low voltage and RoHS2 directives. Patient leakage current is less than 2.5 micro amps. The units comply to EN55011-A and EN55022-A without the need for external filtering, and IEC61000-4 immunity standards.
The PXC-M series is available with single and dual outputs covering 3.3-, 5-, 12-, 15-, or 24-volt and +/-5-, +/-12- or +/-15-volt outputs and can operate from either a 9-to-36-volt DC or 18-to-75-volt input. The converters can operate from either 12- and 24-volt or 24- and 48-volt nominal inputs.

With operating efficiencies to 89 percent, the PXC-M can operate in ambient temperatures from -40 to 105 degrees Celsius, with appropriate derating above 94 C for the 3-Watt version, 88 C for the 6-Watt version, and 77 C for the 10-Watt models.
Zero-load power draw is less than 0.2 Watts. Options include an output adjustment trim function for non-standard voltages and remote on/off. for more information contact TDK Lambda online at www.us.tdk-lambda.com.
