Saft America nets $31 million contract to provide batteries to U.S. armed forces

VALDESE, N.C., 31 Jan. 2007. Saft America Inc. in Valdese, N.C., will provide batteries to the U.S. armed forces over the next two years according to terms of a maximum $31 million contract awarded Jan. 29 from the U.S. Defense Supply Center Richmond in Richmond, Va.
