Power beads are RoHS- and HF-compliant, and have options for 5 percent tight tolerance control on DC resistance to meet current sensing requirements.

ELMSFORD, N.Y. – ITG Electronics Inc. in Elmsford, N.Y., is introducing the SLA36385A series narrow-body power beads for data centers, primary mother boards for servers and data storage devices, and other scenarios requiring components to offer high current with small size.

These power beads measure 5 by 9 by 9.5 millimeters, and are for high-density applications where component space is at a premium.

The SLA36385A power bead inductors features inductance values ranging from 35 to 470 nanohenries; the 35 nanohenries component can handle more than 200 amperes of current, with 20 percent roll off. Each item in the series offers a low DC resistance rate of 0.125 milliohms for high-current uses.

The SLA36385A series are ready for immersion cooling, and constitute ferrite-based SMD inductors with low core loss. The components feature operating frequencies to 5 MHz, and an operating temperature range of -55 to 130 degrees Celsius.

Each item in the series is RoHS- and HF compliant. To meet varying current sensing requirements, options for 5 percent tight tolerance control on DC resistance also are available.
